The Workshop

How we relate to ourselves on the inside directly reflects how we relate to everything and everyone outside of us.   We must first meet ourselves within so we can authentically go outside and meet the world.

Embracing the Mother Within is a workshop that is designed to go within ourselves and heal the relationship with our mother and foremothers mothers.   We carry emotional and physical characteristics of our foremothers for 9 generations back.  It is vital that we acknowledge, heal, and move through these characteristics so we can fully come into our own authentic self.

Working within the modalities kundalini, pranayama, yoga, meditation, nature rituals and inquiry - our intention is to create an internal and external experience in which we relate to the mother within and feel acknowledge and nourished.

Modalities

The Workshop encompasses multiple modalities with the intention to move within and through.  Fostering our Breakdowns to be Breakthroughs as we move through the workshop and through life.

  • Kundalini yoga is a form of yoga that involves chanting, singing, breathing exercises, and repetitive poses. Within kundalini we work with the 7 chakra systems, the glandular system, and the nervous system to move, balance, and awaken energy within ourselves. When experiences and emotions are not integrated within us they get stored in Our bodies. With kundalini we move with the body to integrate these energies and move out what no longer serves us. Kundalini can be very healing for the mind, body, and soul on many levels.

  • Through breath work, we intentionally change our breathing pattern. We work with many various forms of breath work in a conscious and systematic way to awaken, move, and calm our nervous system.

  • “In silence, inner listening forms the bonding of heart and mind.” Eastern body western mind

We work with various meditations to support inquiry and integration within the body.

  • Motion is lotion. It is vital that we move our bodies. We work with various forms of movement all with the intention to release what no longer serves the mind, body, and soul.

  • With over 13 decades of practicing yoga between the teachters - Traditional yoga is integrated throughout the workshop. This brings a beautiful fluidity and space of balance to the class and the body.

  • We come from the earth and we return to the earth. We believe it is important to work with nature, she holds all the answers. We work with nature rituals that invite students to reconnect and align with the values that exist in nature. A lot of “aha moments” happen when we work within this modality.

  • Sometimes the question holds the answer. We believe in holding space to sit within inquiry. We work with writting inquiry to move deeper within and out.
